Since wainscoting is usually easy to care for and clean this is a great addition to your entryway mudroom or dining room.
I decided to use a 1 8 inch panel of utility board or hardboard as the backing for my paneling.
I started with 5 5 boards for the baseboards and then used 3 5 boards for the center and top board.
I also like the height of this wall panel layout rather than a wainscoting style.

It is pretty inexpensive and comes in 4 x8 panels.
Feel free to skip the backing board though if you want to.
