Standard neoprene fuel hose can be used for fuel pcv and eec systems on all vehicles where working pressures are under 50 psi or vacuum ratings are under 24 in.
Braided fuel line vs rubber.
The early aftermarket response to this rubber fuel line degradation was to use braided steel an hose using a chlorinated polyethylene cpe based material that looks like rubber but was at least for a short time resistant to degradation by fuel and oil.
And i m likely going to replace the rest too.
They are also easier to replace if you are out on the track.
Rubber line hose ends may be swagged or crimped onto the rubber line.
Hg for 7 16 inch and smaller inside diameter sizes 10 in.
Unfortunately changes in fuel blending eventually began to take its toll on this.
Rubber lines are made in the same way as braided lines.
The best in my opinion though.
Hg for inch diameter hose.
It works very well.
Found a site that wants 450 550 for hard lines with a corvette filter and compression fittings.
The advantage to rubber lines are that they are cheap the alcohol compliant goodyear line is 4 6 a foot depending on size and very easy to work with.
I think i spent just 200 for my ls1 braided steel rubber lines with russell fittings and the corvette filter.
As it is now i ve replaced about half of these lines with regular naked rubber high quality fuel line.
I read nhra requires braided steel lines ran along the frame rails.
I had one location where i was concerned about kinking of the line so i inserted a section of hard line into the rubber line to prevent that.
No idea how long it would take my lines to rot out though.
